My Contributions to Gnuplot
Gnuplot was an early example of what we now call an open source community project (the term hadn't been invented yet). The first general distribution in 1986 by the original authors, Thomas Williams and Colin Kelley, was posted via usenet as a series of shar archive files. Starting some time in the 1990s I began using gnuplot to prepare figures for publication. Then I began modifying it to meet local needs. By 2004 I had become a regular contributer to the gnuplot project. Things only escalated from there.
