BIANCA'S NOTES ON INSTALLING ACD (11/02/2000)

Install Isishost 3.3.1 on boltzmann

1. Use install script on CD
2. cd /usr/mdl (= /bolt2/mdl)
3. cd ih311sp1/bin
4. edit the mdlnames file:
• comment out:
  export ACD3D=/usr/mdl/db/acd3d
• add:
  ACD3D=/usr/mdl/db/acd3d
  CMC3D=/usr/mdl/db/cmc3d
  export ACD3D
  export CMC3D
  ACDSUPPLIERS=/usr/mdl/db/acd3d/supplier
  export ACDSUPPLIERS
5. cp /usr/mdl/ih31/hviews/acd3find.hvd /usr/mdl/ih311sp1/hviews/
6. cp /usr/mdl/ih31/hviews/acd3dcfs.hvd /usr/mdl/ih311sp1/hviews/
7. cp /usr/mdl/ih31/hviews/cmc3d.hvd /usr/mdl/ih311sp1/hviews/

Install Isisbase on the PC

1. Use install script on CD
2. Copy the RAF file "ACDFIND.db" to "boltACDFIND.DB"
3. Configure "boltACDFIND.DB"
• set nodename to boltzmann
• set TCP/IP connection to boltzmann at port 2056
• make sure HVIEW is set to "acd3find"

Note: for CFS searches HVIEW has to be set to "acd3dcfs"
